Sustainability is a key goal not only for the entire wind energy community, but also for the city of Florence and its University. Therefore, TORQUE2024 has the ambition to be an enjoyable event for all its participants, while contemporarily trying to be a conference as sustainable as possible.
Firenze Fiera is strongly focused on sustainability and has developed special measures for this (Link).
Moreover, it is the one and only fair complex in Italy having to date a sustainability report (PDF).
TORQUE2024 decided to be a plastic free and a paper free conference. Water dispensers will be available at the venue. Catering will try to minimize wastes and use environmentally friendly packing.
Moreover, the entire program has been conceived so as to be enjoyed without any mean of transportation. Enjoy the city center of Florence at walking distance!
